We all have a place to keep contact information, some people use physical address books, and some people store them on their phones or online. However, if we don’t add any contacts to these places, they become useless. Today we are going to show you how to add a contact to our contacts feature.

First, we need to navigate over to contacts in the left-hand sidebar. And click on “create new contact” which is the first option in your toolbar. This will bring up a pop-up menu that will allow you to enter the contact’s details.The first thing we can do here is add a personal logo of the contact, or the contact’s avatar. For the time being, I am just going to use our logo. So just click on change, and this will allow you to find the logo on your computer. I’ll just type it in here. As you can see here, the file you upload must be no more than 2.5mb, which is more than enough for this type of picture.

Next, we have to fill in the contact’s details, for the purpose of this demonstration I am just going to use my sister, “Amiee Ayeye”. Then we can add her email address “Amiee@ai.com”. As you can see here, you have the option of adding additional emails for your contact, by clicking the “add email” button. Then you can add in the phone number, starting with the type of number it is, home, work, mobile, or landline. Amiee lives with me, so I’ll just add our home number in here. Now you can add any other numbers the contacts have too.

Now, we have the opportunity to say what kind of contact the person is, here we can select either customer or lead. Then, something I find very useful is the ability, to add in the contact’s time zone. This way you can make sure you don’t accidentally call a customer too late. Now, we get to the do not disturb settings. Here you can make sure, either the contact doesn’t disturb you on all channels, or select individual channels. This comes in handy, if you have a telemarketer that has been bothering you, or something similar. Then all you have to do, is click save.

And there you have it, your contact is in the system. From here you can add any other details you need to the contact on the left-hand side of the screen. You can also conduct conversations with your contact in this window, or talk with them in the conversation hub.

And that’s all there is to it! Now you can add contacts to your Web Geeks marketing platform. And keep lots and lots of information about them so you never miss a thing, and all of your employees know everything they need to before they start conversing with a new person.
