Hi, I’m Allie, our AI powered, training personality.
Keeping track of all of your social media accounts can be time consuming. That’s why we made it possible to post to channels such as Instagram, right within web geeks marketing platform. Today I am going to show you how to use the Instagram post composer. This feature allows you to efficiently create, manage and schedule your Instagram posts and stories. Let’s get started!
Before diving in, ensure you’ve added an Instagram professional account to your social planner. Please note that publishing stories to personal, and creator accounts is currently unavailable. First we are going to navigate over to marketing in the left hand side bar , this will bring us to the social planner here we are going to select new post. Now you will see a list of options in a drop down menu. You can create a post from scratch, upload from a CSV file, use a social planner template or use the content AI feature. For now we are going to start from scratch with create new post. Then we will open the drop down menu under post to which will show you a list of your connected social accounts. Here we will select, our professional Instagram account. Remember, your story won’t be visible if you choose another social account. You must select an Instagram professional account, to publish your story.
You will notice that you are able to post a regular Instagram post, or a story post, by selecting the options underneath. For now we are going to make a story post, so i will select story. As you can see on the right hand side we can preview what our post will look like. So our next step, is to upload the media we would like to use for our post. Click on picture or video icon under the text editor this will take you to your media library, there you can upload new media or select media you have uploaded before. You can upload, up to ten images or videos, to your story. Remember, the maximum image size is 8 mega bytes and the maximum video length is 60 seconds.
In the future we will be adding the ability to post direct captions to your story post. However, this feature is already available within the normal post editor. And the final step is to Post your content. When you select post, you can either post straight away, schedule your post to be posted on another day, or send your post for approval. If you don’t feel like posting or scheduling your content just now, you can save it as a draft.
And that’s it! You can now post to your heart’s content on Instagram through Web Geeks marketing platform. Doesn’t that make things a whole lot easier?
